What you're on today

Your NBN technology, explained.

The tech NBN Co installed at your address determines the maximum speeds available. The free upgrade replaces the copper-fed ones with FTTP.

FTTP

Fibre to the premises — fastest, most consistent. Speeds up to 1000 Mbps.

FTTN / FTTB

Fibre to the node or building — copper to your door. Most addresses cap at 50–100 Mbps.

FTTC

Fibre to the kerb — a shorter copper run, same ceiling problem.

HFC

Pay-TV cable repurposed for NBN. Solid 100/250 Mbps in capable areas.

What customers say

12,000+ five-star reviews and counting.

Our FTTN line topped out at 40 down on a good day. The fibre install cost nothing and the 500 plan is cheaper than what we were paying. Backups run at lunch now, not overnight.

Cafe owner, Geelong VIC

I assumed the upgrade would mean a week offline. The old line stayed up until fibre was live — the switch itself was minutes.

Priya S.

Accounting practice, Parramatta NSW

Card terminals used to drop every time we uploaded stock photos. On the 1000 plan's 100 up, nobody notices anymore.

Help

Frequently asked questions.

Is the fibre upgrade really free?

Yes — at eligible FTTC, FTTN and FTTB addresses, nbn installs full fibre (FTTP) with a standard 1-port connection box at no cost when you order an eligible high-speed plan (NBN 500, 750 or 1000).

Will the business lose internet during the switch?

No. Your existing service keeps running until the new fibre line is live and tested. The cutover itself is minutes, and we schedule it with you.

How long does it take?

Most existing NBN-ready addresses are connected within 1–5 business days. A fibre install adds a technician visit, which nbn books with you directly.

What happens after the 3-month promo?

The plan rolls to its standard rate — $85 for NBN 500, $95 for 750, $115 for 1000. No lock-in either way: change or cancel any time without exit fees.

Do we need a new modem?

If your current modem supports FTTP you can keep it — we'll send the settings. Otherwise we ship a pre-configured Wi-Fi 6 modem from $10/mth, ready to plug in.

Can we keep our phone number?

Yes. Business numbers port across with the service — we handle it as part of the switch.
